What's a fun local spot or unique activity in your city that tourists usually miss out on?

By Tony · · Old Monk Oak Cliff, 810 W Davis St, Dallas, TX 75208, USA

Old Monk Oak Cliff is a fantastic West Dallas spot owned by legendary Dallas bar owner, Fergal. It serves as a true marquee bar for the neighborhood, offering a much more laid-back, local vibe compared to the traditional Bishop Arts spots. The drink menu is top-tier, featuring Belgian favorites like Delirium Tremens. They also bring the classic Irish tradition of beer blending to the States—mixing beers is something you don’t see often in America, but they do it perfectly here. The space is massive, complete with a great front patio and an awesome backyard. It attracts a more mature, relaxed crowd compared to their original Uptown location. It’s incredibly welcoming whether you’re coming with a group or flying solo. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet pint by yourself or team up with strangers for Wednesday night trivia!
