Hi DAllas (listed as Hyde Lounge on Google / Hide Dallas) is a great time, as long as you know when to go. I originally showed up around 11:00 PM and it was mostly empty, but when I came back around 12:40 AM, the bar was bumping and the dance floor was going! The DJ played smooth, slow-rhythm AfroBeats that kept the energy right, and early in the night, a lot of people were enjoying hookah. If you want a change of pace, their sister bar right next door plays house music, which is a nice bonus. The crowd skewed toward a mature 30–40 age demographic with a great guy-to-girl ratio, and everyone was generally friendly and welcoming. On top of the great vibe, drinks were surprisingly reasonable for downtown, with beers running around $7. For amenities, they have two all-gender bathrooms available. My main tip for anyone heading out here is to just take an Uber or Lyft, as downtown parking in this area can be a real headache. Overall, it is a solid option for a late night out—just plan to roll in after midnight!
